Finally....

I'm pretty excited as tonight I finally sold one of my Tchaikovsky candles! Just when I'd given up hope...

One evening recently when trawling Pinterest I saw that a Wellington Artist/Crafter "Emma Makes" had pinned my Tchaikovsky candle to her board called "Things I'd Like For My Birthday". I was very excited as I've seen her work and it's awesome so I sent her a candle as a gift. She blogged about it here...

They are a real labour of love, along with the Virgin Mary candles, as I probably get only 1 good one out of every 4 so they're very labour intensive. Maybe it would've been better if I'd made owls or rabbits but I feel they're everywhere I look at the moment! Anyway, maybe I'll perservere with them a bit longer....

Tapestry

My sewing room is a detatched sleepout at the top of our section and as the last few weeks have been a little cold at night I haven't been venturing up there much.as I should. So, I've been knitting my cushion and doing this wool tapestry in front of the fire.

Here's a sneak preview of the cushion I'm knitting. I'm about a third of the way through the back so should have it finished soon.

World Knit In Public Day

I managed to get along to this on Sunday at the Otago Settlers Museum. Had a great time, met some lovely people and may go along to the Thursday night knitting group at the university this week.

Anyway, here are this weeks finds...
