My Bedroom - Blogtoberfest Day 22

This week over at Punky & Me I'm joining in with her My Place and Yours meme which is "Where I Sleep".

Now, my room is far to messy to show it all so I picked a very uncluttered angle for my photo. I tend to leave clothes all over the floor as my wardrobe is overflowing and the table bedside my bed has a teetering tower of books that one day may topple. This shot makes my room look like a serene refuge - which it definitely is not....

Blogtoberfest Day 20

Today was the most beautiful day here in Dunedin, blue sky and no wind = bliss. Tonight we had an early Halloween party at Chingford Park for my daughter and a couple of her friends. We each bought our own dinner and afterwards had a treasure hunt through the trees.

Chingford Park was originally the site of a private house long since gone. The only part remaining is the original stables, built in the 1870's of local basalt stone.

I went on a road trip down to Invercargill in the weekend to pick up my daughter who was staying at her grandparents and managed to get quite a lot of op-shopping in on the way there....happy times...

I love this vinatge wooden coat hanger from a long gone tailors in Dunedin that operated between 1920-1975.

Blogtoberfest Day 14

Oh dear...I missed another day yesterday, I fear I'm losing my blogging mojo!

Things are a bit tough at the moment as I suffer from anxiety and for some reason it's reared its ugly head again and taken over my life. Hopefully next week I'll be feeling more on top of things and can think of something semi-intelligent to say!

I have found lots of goodies this week at the op shop, so check in tomorrow for "This Weeks Finds"...

Queenstown - Blogtoberfest Day 11

I thought I'd share some photos from my recent trip to Queenstown .....

The stunning view from our apartment....

Down on the waterfront at Lake Wakatipu...

We also spent an afternoon in Arrowtown about 25mins from Queenstown.

 My daughter bought a possum tail (a pest here in New Zealand) at a craft stall and insisted on it being in every photo...

There goes that possum tail again...

These shacks are part of the original Chinese miners settlement nestled into the hillside only a few hundred metres from the main street.

We had a lovely time away but it's always good to get home to your own bed!
