This Weeks Finds....

It's Mother's Day here in New Zealand today so I've had a lovely day being pampered! It started out with pancakes in bed, then presents and out for a coffee. It's a stunning autumn day so I'm enjoying the good weather too. Hope all the other NZ mothers have had a fab day.

A good weeks op shopping this week - lots of China which is great as I've just ordered another 100 cake stand rods!

New Product....

I've been trying to think of a new idea for a zipper purse lately. I wanted it to have a point of difference from the usual vintage zip purse so I cut up an old velveteen souvenir cushion that had a ripped backing. I added some fringing that I thrifted a while ago and voila......!

I've loaded these two onto my Felt shop.

This Weeks Finds....

I've had such a busy week this week - working, op shopping and learning Photoshop! I've downloaded the free trial for a month and have been feverishly watching tutorials on you tube etc. Phew...lots to learn. Fortunately, a friend at work is a photoshop whizz and came and gave me some tips at home yesterday which speeded things up. It's amazing how long you can spend nutting something like that out yourself, then someone with experience comes along and bam - you've learnt more in 1 hour than you have all week!
The sun's still shining here in Dunedin but there's been a definite cooling down in the last week...hello winter.

Cute Japanese tecups...

plates, plates and more plates....

cushion covers....

7m of furnishing fabric....yum

a large cane sewing basket...

I have a huge pile of early "Stitchcraft" magazines so these will be added...

bingo?...

Tinker!

This reminded me of my Dad as he had one of these that he used for weighing fish....
