This Weeks Finds...
Hello all! It's been a cruisy week this week as my daughter was sick for 2 days so I've had to take some time off work. I still made it to a few opp shops to find some treasure!
A tapestry cushion...
1m of chidrens fabric...
2m of a printed muslin type fabric...
4m of printed cotton...
a red mohair shawl...
plates, plates, plates....
and a printed coat hanger (a pity they ruined it with the permanent marker!)I'm hoping maybe turps will get it off.

Press...
I don't know about you but I'm pretty excited when I get something in a magazine, especially one as amazing as Home magazine. It's a showcase of New Zealands most inspiring architecturally designed dwellings (their words not mine!).
Anyway, if you look very closely at the bottom right hand corner of page 43 you'll see one of my Virgin Mary candles on the mantlepiece of the home of Margi and Chris Robertson of Nom*d
Disclaimer: Ummm, I actually work for Margi and Chris and my workmates and I gave them the candle for Xmas. I'm still taking it as a win though!

This Weeks Finds...
I had some good finds this week! I really need the tapestry's as I've sold a few tapestry cushions this week and I'm running out. I've also been sewing some little girls dresses out of some vintage fabrics for summer so the green fabric will be great for that. I need to think about stocking up for Christmas too....

New Stockist....
I have a new stockist - yay! It's called Craft Country and is in the main street of Featherston.
I spent a bit of time in the Wairarapa as I child but I always hated the trip over the Rimutuka Hill Road which scared the be-jesus out of me!

It was always worth it once we got there though.....

Knitted Cushion....
Last weekend I gritted my teeth and got back onto my knitting machine. I've knocked the ribber off it's hinges twice now and I think it's been wacked out of alignment...grrr. I'm currently on the look out for a new one to replace it as there doesn't seem to be anyone who fixes them anymore! Anyway, I used wool scraps that I've picked up from the op shops and made this....

This Weeks Finds....
It's been a frustrating week this week with illness,a broken sewing machine, bad weather and my computer had a virus to top it all off! I managed a couple of op shopping expeditions but the bill from the sewing machine repair and the computer doctor have cleaned me out so I had to be frugal.
Here's what I found...
Another cross to add to my collection...
Beautiful 50's cotton floral...
craft cotton - great for lining bags etc....
embroidery transfers....
a handy Maori translation dictionary from the 60's.
