I hope you've all been having a great Easter!
My partner and daughter went away camping for the weekend (not my thing) and that left me free to concentrate on being creative.
After cleaning the oven, making candles and a couple of tee shirts for my sister-in-law it was time to try something new. I've always wanted to try making my own stamps so now I had the perfect opportunity! There are lots of great tutorials on various craft sites so I took a look at a few and got to work....
I was inspired by these Marimekko Converse Hi Tops.....
and made my first stamp...

I then cut around an old t-shirt dress and printed the front. I was going to do the whole front but I got bored and trailed it off - I like this effect better anyway! Whipped up the dress on my trusty overlocker and - voila! I think I'm going to make a couple more of these for myself and already a friend wants one too!

Here are some other stamps I made. This first one has a slight texture to the stamp which give it a nice effect.

  1. Those diamond stamps are my favourite - they look amazing!

    1. Thanks, Emma. I can't wait to do some more! Just need to find more big rubbers...

  2. Ooooooooooooh your stamps are beautiful! I can't decide which I like the most - the diamond shape is very special and what a lucky family you have to get such glorious hand-made goodies from you:) xoxo

  3. How cute are those stamps - I really love the last two.
