Yesterday, I took part in the Northern Artery Arts Bazaar. It was a fantastic day with great stallholders, lots of punters and a fun atmoshere! Best sellers were the dolls head and printed fabric pincushions! I also sold a couple of snow globes so that made me very happy.

New Product....Snowglobes

The new products are coming thick and fast around here! I've been working on this one for a while now - there's been a lot of trial and error. Originally I was going to cast various figurines etc in resin but decided to keep it a bit fresher by using the original objects themselves. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to wholesale these or just keep them for markets.

If you're in Dunedin, I'll be at the Northern Artery Arts Bazaar at St Martins Hall, Northumberland St, North East Valley 11am-4pm this Saturday. I'll have the snowglobes for sale and specials on other products for Saturday only. My friends from Little Minx and Milkybeer will be there too so come and say "Hi".

New Product........

Okay, so I've been sitting on this for a while - not literally - obviously! Sometimes it takes me while to get around to actually selling the things I make - weird, I know!?
So, here it is....resin faceted magnets! I'm not too sure what to call them...faceted/geodes/jewels....Bling For Your Fridge? Any ideas welcome...

This Weeks Finds....

I had the best score I've had for ages this week - an Art Deco picture frame! It doesn't have any glass but that's easily fixed. I even love the back view! I must say it's nice to find something substantial after so much bric-a-brac that just fills up my sewing and turns it into a junkyard. Of course, it's all my own fault but I just can't seem to say, no!

An assortment of trinkets...

glasses (cos I don't have enough, right?)

I've been making little terrariums for an upcoming market so these will be prefect!

This Weeks Finds.....

Not too much to show this week. All the haberdashery is from the garage sale the week before.

This Weeks Finds...

I had a good haul this week due to a garge sale I went to in the weekend (twice)!

I don't normally bother with garage sales as I'm too lazy to get up early in the weekend but this was advertised as a 4 day sale starting friday. The old lady who lived in the house had gone into a home and the daughter was selling her materials, buttons etc as the mother had been a seamstress. Entering the house was like stepping back into the 1940's-50's as it was run down, dark and dingy but with beautiful floral carpets and wallpapers. The daughter told me that her mother had never thrown anything out and I believed her judging by the amount of fabric, trims etc that were for sale. There were even boxes of tiny scraps and ends of lace that she obviously thought she could use in some way some day. I missed the start of the sale on Friday as I was at work but went on Saturday with my friend Joanna from Little Minx and again today in case I'd missed anything! I didn't buy too much fabric as I have so much already and I never seem to use it although that didn't stop me when it came to buying buttons! My favourite find was a green bakelite tape measure dating from the 40's I think.

I've just realized that there are tons more buttons and a couple of pieces of fabric that I didn't take photos of so I'll include them in next weeks finds....
